Amjad Nasser is a Jordanian poet and writer, born in 1955 and living in London. He has published a large number of poetry collections and travel books, as well as two novels: Where the Rain Doesn't Fall (2010) and Take this Ring (2014). His work has been translated into several languages; Jonathan Wright’s translation of Where the Rain Doesn’t Fall (titled Land of No Rain in English) was commended for the 2015 Saif Ghobash Banipal Prize. He was on the judging panel of the 2011 International Prize for Arabic Fiction.
